"I'm looking thro my pics with tears in my eyes. How can one critique a photography adventure which results in the best shots that you have ever taken? The circle of friendship and support plus the excellent teaching and opportunities provided by John and Craig made this an unforgettable experience."

What Gear do I Need?

Camera Gear

There’s an old saying that “the best camera is the camera you have with you!”

Any camera is fine, but you will have the best experience if you bring a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera and lense(s). An iPhone is probably not the best option on a tour like this.

Make sure you have a couple of fully charged batteries and plenty of space on your memory card. Spare batteries and cards are strongly recommended.

Tripod & Accessories

It is recommended you bring a tripod for this tour however, it’s ok if you don’t have one. A tripod is necessary if you wish to participate in any of the Astro Photography components of the tour.

If you don’t have a tripod please contact us and we will do our best to provide one for you.

Personal Items

A full list of what you need to bring will be emailed to you closer to the tour date, once you have registered.

Frequently Asked Questions

What experience level do I need?

As photographers, we never stop learning. So whether you are a seasoned photographer, an enthusiast or a complete beginner, our small group sizes help cater for any skill level. We want to ensure new ideas and concepts can be tailored to your personal experience level.

Do you have a wet weather plan?

Uluru and the surrounding region is such a remarkable part of Australia. In the case of bad weather, we will adjust the program each day based on the best location for the conditions.

Rest assured that in many cases, bad weather = great photos!

Is there any phone reception?

There is limited phone reception, so we carry a Satellite phone for emergencies. The resort and surrounding areas have good reception with the major carriers.

No. All bedding is provided at each location.
